For my historical fiction series, set in 1906, I have had to do a lot of research. At one point, though, I realized that there was only so much history books were going to be able to tell me about what it was like to live then. Part of me is an artist, so I’ve always been a visual person. I thought I’d share a few of the photos that inspired scenes in Dosia’s story.
Whenever I feel that writer’s block creeping in, I look at this picture and the words start to flow again…
It makes me proud to be an archivist/librarian. Preserving the inspiration and knowledge for the future.
